Content Archival (CAP)

The website/portal/web application of Hooghly Cochin Shipyard Limited maintains an archival mechanism to preserve and manage outdated, expired, and historical content in a systematic manner while ensuring that current and relevant information remains easily accessible to users.

Sections such as news updates, notices, circulars, press releases, visitor statistics, announcements, and spotlight items may be automatically archived after completion of one (1) year from the date of publication or upon expiry of their operational relevance.

Hooghly CSL shall maintain online archives of important website content for a period of five (5) years to facilitate reference, audit, record retention, and retrieval of historical information, wherever applicable.

The following content categories may be archived after expiry or discontinuation:

  • Tenders and procurement notices
  • Recruitment notices
  • Forms and downloadable documents
  • Project notifications
  • Schemes, circulars, and time-bound announcements

Such content which has expired, been withdrawn, discontinued, or become obsolete may be archived and subsequently removed/expunged after completion of five (5) years from the date of archival, subject to administrative, legal, audit, and record retention requirements.

The archival and deletion of content shall be carried out only with the approval of the concerned competent authority and in accordance with applicable Government guidelines, organizational policies, and data retention norms.
